Introducing Le Bon, Yarra Valley

Available on and via your Fesq & Co Representative from 1 November, 2018.


Launching in Spring, the new Le Bon wines from the Yarra Valley are the second project of David Fesq, this time in collaboration with Charles Smedley of Mandala Wines. The wines from Charles' vineyards at Dixon's Creek are delightfully young, vibrant and aromatic, the excellent quality we've come to expect from his wines. They have been created in a deliciously easy drinking style of classic Yarra Valley character - textural Chardonnay with stone fruit and citrus flavours; bright berry-flavoured Pinot Noir with good acid profile and fine tannins.


The philosophy of the project? Sit back, take a minute (and a sip) and think about all the good things - 'Le Bon' - this wonderful life has to offer!



The fresh 2018 vintages just off the bottling line are available from 1 November, 2018.

Le Bon Chardonnay 2019

Nose: White stone fruit, lime, pear and pink grapefruit characters intermingle with hints of citrus blossom, fig, subtle salted caramel and nougat notes.

Palate: The mouthfeel is fleshy, yet focussed. White stone fruit, peach and mandarin flavours sit above a fine line of refreshing acidity. Brioche, meal and subtle vanillin spice characters linger on the finish.



Le Bon Pinot Noir 2019

Nose: A brightly aromatic nose of wild strawberry, raspberry and cranberry intermingle with hints of blue fruit, fresh tobacco and mocha.

Palate: The palate is finely structured, showing generosity and clarity of fruit expression. Currants, dark cherry and red berry characters integrate well with supportive oak spice. Refreshing natural acidity gives the wine drive and line, leading into a long and persistent finish.
