Winery Details

The Lloyd family founded Coriole in 1967, and are considered pioneers in the McLaren Vale region, and visionaries in the planting of Italian and French varieties. Long before it was fashionable, Mark Lloyd developed vineyards of Sangiovese, Picpoul, Chenin Blanc, Nero d’Avola, and others, plus of course, Shiraz. They are considered one of the leading lights of the region.

Press Review

     Coriole Estate Shiraz 2021
Bold, very juicy and ripe, lots of black fruit, aniseed, cocoa and milk tea, and some floral perfume. It’s full-bodied, a little ferrous, full of rich sweet dark fruit, raspberry juice acidity, a little too ripe and warm, and a kind of too overt in juicy fruit character, which shows the excess of a good vintage, perhaps to its detriment. May come good, hard to say.
