Attwoods Single Vineyard Glenlyon Chardonnay 12pk

Attwoods Single Vineyard Glenlyon Chardonnay 2022
This Chardonnay is a beautiful reflection of this cool climate region, showing a slightly reductive nose, stone fruit and citrus, lovely balanced acid and good length.
"Troy Walsh's eye for fruit and vision for winemaking has resulted in some of the most impressive (and under-the-radar) wines in Australia." Jane Lopes, How to Drink Australian

"A nod in the direction of Jura. Delicious at that. Sea spray and brown lime, fresh cut apples, even a touch of apple pie, some fennel notes and a layering in of green almond savouriness. Long, quite luxurious with a cut and thrust of briny minerality refreshing at each turn. Layers and layers to this wine, an inherent complexity and a compelling and distinct personality. So very delicious. Reeks of quality. 13.0%"

"Peach, preserved lemon, apple, a distinctly briny/rockpool character, mint, with a light fino sherry complexity leaning in, plus a little spicy biscuit. It’s glossy, quite flinty and saline, lemon zest, bruised apple and peach, a little caramel, tangy acidity balances it out, and the finish is long, nutty and chalky. No shortage of personality, and gee, I really like it. It’s what you might call ‘an enthusiasts wine’, but that’s fine by me. Vive la difference!" 95 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
A former Sommelier in London for over a decade and then flying winemaker in Burgundy for several years, Troy Walsh established Attwoods in 2010. With a 1.5ha close-planted home vineyard in Scotsburn near Ballarat, another 2ha in Glenlyon (Macedon) as well as purchasing fruit from Geelong, the vision is for cool-climate, minimal intervention Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Attwoods is considered amongst the most exciting emerging talents from the interior regions of Victoria.
"Take your pick of Attwoods' wines: the chardonnays and pinot noirs are all stunning, combining savoury flavours, filigreed structure and fruit expression to great effect. Winemaker Troy Walsh's eye for fruit and vision for winemaking has resulted in some of the most impressive (and under-the-radar) wines in Australia." Jane Lopes, How to Drink Australian
