2018 Gourmet Traveller Wine Viticulturalist of the Year

The Bream Creek vineyard was planted in 1974 by Fred Peacock. One of the first commercial vineyards established in the Apple Isle state, it has long been considered one of the very best sites in Eastern Tasmania. Fred's premium cool-climate wines are concentrated and long, thanks to the mature vines and low yields.

Press Review

    Bream Creek Pinot Noir 2023
Cherry, raspberry, kind of succulent, but fresh too, with some spice, perfume, and quiet autumnal notes. It’s medium-bodied, plenty of juicy cherry and raspberry flavour, spiced plum, a pleasing sort of floral mouth-perfume, fine-grained tannin, and a finish of very good length, a little twist of orange peel bitterness to close. I can’t quite decide on 93 or 94 points, but either way, it’s a strong vintage for this wine.

    Bream Creek Pinot Noir 2023
Bright ruby with aromas of dark cherry, plum, wild strawberry and raspberry fruits. Underlying hints of red florals, forest floor, five-spice, dried herbs, charcuterie, earth and rhubarb. Bright, ripe cherry and berry fruits on the palate, with fine, saline acid drive, gentle tannins and a scattering of herbs on the exit.
