Reviews & Accolades

    Coriole Estate Shiraz 2022

"Ink black core into a deep ruby rim. Mulberry and mocha aromatics. Deep and rich with plush black fruits wrapped in dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla notes. great line built around a firm, fine grained tannins that carries it with drive and power to a long finish. A lot of wine for the price." 92 Points, Stuart Knox, The Real Review

"Gee, I like this wine. And I like it better than the 2021. Black fruit, hazelnut and chocolate, a little mint and dried herb, some perfume too, cold brew coffee. It’s rich, fleshy and a bit ferrous, cherry jam, the acidity sits well within the wine, and while it shows some nougat/spiced coffee oak, the generosity of flavour and impact here is really pleasing. It closes grainy and firm, with a slight chicory-like bitterness. It’s good." 92 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

"From estate vines mostly 50 years old on terra rossa soils. A core line for Coriole, this feels like a wine made to reflect the evolution in making at this address while still satisfying loyal long-term drinkers. The impact of the soil lends the cherry and brambly-berried fruit a certain concentration and power, though the house tendency to freshness and balance is also on show, with oak (all French, 25% new for 18 months) a notable but well-integrated steward."91 Points, Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion
