Coriole Sangiovese 6pk 2022
The Lloyd family founded Coriole in 1967, and are considered pioneers in the McLaren Vale region, and visionaries in the planting of Italian and French varieties. Long before it was fashionable, Mark Lloyd developed vineyards of Sangiovese, Picpoul, Chenin Blanc, Nero d’Avola, and others, plus of course, Shiraz. They are considered one of the leading lights of the region.

...this is a civilised sangiovese, its tannins supple, the fruit flavours delicious.

Coriole Sangiovese 2022
Ever reliable, and such good value with it (around $24 at many online retailers).
Cherry, red fruits, a smattering of dried herb and aniseed, new leather, also a little ferrous. It’s medium-bodied, crisp and lively, red fruits and almond, well-etched gently sandy tannin, good length and plenty of varietal character. Good now, likely better again with another year or two in bottle.

Coriole Sangiovese 2022
Mid to deep ruby and offers up expressive aromas of cherry liqueur, soy sauce and roasted meats with genuine power and complexity. Italian styling with a structural style, al dente tannins adding upfront impact.

Coriole Sangiovese 2022
Very honest, medium-bodied sangiovese. Rose petals, crunchy red fruit and a steely, wiry, herbal tannic framework that encourages the next glass. Prosaic in the best sense. A delicious everyday wine. Drink or hold.
