"Mike De Iuliis is one of the Hunter Valley wine region’s consigliere, not the godfather of semillon, but he’s certainly within the inner sanctum when it comes to this variety and its unique offering out of the region. Hunter semillon is one of the original low-alcohol offerings (by default) and at just over 10% this wine delivers all that is delicious and tooth crackingly fresh about the variety. One for the acid hounds now, or stick away for 7-10 years to let it really sing.
Pale in the glass, bright and lively. Lifted aromas of waxy lemon, lemon grass, mineral and a sappy, green, woodsy lift. Tangy, pithy and snappy in flavour, with lashings of lemony crunch and crackle."
