Derwent Estate Calcaire Chardonnay 6pk 2019
Derwent Estate, planted on the historic Mt Nassau property just north of Hobart, has been in the same family since 1913. With three generations involved in the family business today, this genuine cool climate site on north-facing, Calcareous soil slopes has gained a reputation for consistent, outstanding quality fruit, most notably Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. They approach the vineyard with a gentle management philosophy; and a purpose-built winery completed in 2013 made with straw bales cleverly retains the ideal natural ground temperature for the production and maturation of the wines.

Derwent Estate Calcaire Chardonnay 2019
Sourced from a single Derwent Valley site planted to I10V1, I10V5 and Penfolds clones. Pale straw with aromas of white peach and citrus fruits cut with hints of crushed stone, soft spice, marzipan, almond blossom and clotted cream. The fruit is stretched taut across a minerally frame and presents with plenty of detail and precision with a long, lemony, vivid finish.
