Blackberry, raspberry, liquorice and dark chocolate, earthy too with some hazelnut and mint. It’s very bold, with a stony grip to tannin, some warmth shows, but gee, such presence and grainy fruit power, the structure of this wine is impeccable, even though it’s kind of throaty and overt, it carries that weight so well. The finish very long. Hello. Not for the faint of heart, but if you’re into a wine of throbbing power and tannic impact, this will serve you well.
