These wines are pow pow powerful. A force of nature, but gee, they are good.

Blackberry, dark cherry, fig and liquorice, thyme and assorted floral perfume. Full-bodied, lavish dark fruit, lots of bitter chocolate, suffused with crushed rock tannin and stony feel, and yes it’s so bold, but it delivers freshness and so much grip of tannin, that it keeps itself cool and composed. the finish is all sweet tannin and dried herb perfume, and it’s long too. It’s essence-like in a way, but gee it’s a great example of of old vine power. So emphatic, but so good.
