Reviews & Accolades

Jane Eyre Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux 2023

"Medium plus red purple. 50% whole bunch vinification. One new and one one-year-old out of four barrels. This is full of fruit, and really lifted, caresses the palate, little alpine strawberries with a very long aftertaste. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Dec 2024." Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

"Bright, clear mid ruby. Cracking nose of red cherry, raspberry and strawberry intermixed with spice. Great fragrance and elegance to the fruit. There are featherlight tannins and an excellent long finish." Michael Howard MW, JancisRobinson.com

About this Producer

Jane Eyre is an Australian micro-négociant who has been living and working in Beaune for more than 20 years. She made a distinct mark in Burgundy in 2021 when she was awarded a coveted Négociant of the Year award for her label of distinguished wines with a focus on Pinot Noir. Jane also returns to Australia each year to make a line of terroir-driven Pinot Noir bottlings from exceptional sites in Victoria and Tasmania. There is a lightness of touch thread to her wines from both continents that attracts a strong following.
