"Off 1990s vines, the winemaking was the same as last year: indigenous ferment, 20% whole bunches, 10% new oak. Jane Eyre has had an extraordinary career so far, establishing herself in Burgundy, winning a swathe of accolades and drawing top reviews from the best in the business. The style of those wines is mirrored here, with elegance and transparency of expression key. Strawberry, red cherry, white pepper, kirsch, a waft of florals. "A spicy red fruited wine, mint, red capsicum, white pepper, chamomile tea. It’s crisp and lively, a sappy feel to it, fine dusty peppery tannin, kind of feathery and light, but does some have presence all the same. The finish is maybe not the longest, though I do like the fine lacy feel of it. Good wine. Needs a little more time in bottle." 92 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

Jane Eyre has become a reputable name in Burgundy, reaching great heights in 2021 after being awarded the prestigious Négociant of the Year award by La Revue du Vin de France. Each year she returns to her home state of Victoria, as well as Tasmania, to produce a line of terroir-driven Pinot Noirs in limited quantities from exceptional sites. There is a cohesive style across both the French and Australian Pinot Noirs, a thread of clarity and expression of vintage and place, that has built a strong following.
