“Same supplier as the previous wine, perhaps 10% whole bunches ‘when nice ones’ More classically open and fresh aromatics – a lovely invitation. Direct – extra mouth-filling energy here. The middle fills out more, and there’s a more obvious flavour energy – certainly a step up and maybe not needing that 2 years of patience of the previous wine – yum!.” Bill Nanson

Jane Eyre is an Australian micro-négociant who has been living and working in Beaune for more than 20 years. She made a distinct mark in Burgundy in 2021 when she was awarded a coveted Négociant of the Year award for her label of distinguished wines with a focus on Pinot Noir. Jane also returns to Australia each year to make a line of terroir-driven Pinot Noir bottlings from exceptional sites in Victoria and Tasmania. There is a lightness of touch thread to her wines from both continents that attracts a strong following.
