Mandala Compass Chardonnay 2024

"Two chardonnay clones, P58 and 76, were picked and processed separately before being matured for 11 months in French oak (40% new). An opulent wine with its bouquet of apricot skins, almonds, lemon oil and acacia honey. It doesn't back away either on the richly fruited, intense, but also well-structured and balanced palate. Finishes pithy and long. Different but equally good, I feel, to the '23." 96 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

Mandala is the vision of the Smedley family of Melbourne. An estate vineyard in the Upper Yarra was planted with Burgundian clones in 1999 for premium pinot noir production. Specialising in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Mandala wines are high quality, elegant and exceptional value.
