Mandala Compass Chardonnay 2023

"Two chardonnay clones, P58 and 76, were picked and processed separately before being matured for nine months in French oak (40% new). Brightly coloured. An attractive melange of stone fruits, white pepper, hazelnuts and marine scents. Gently textured, tensile and balanced, with a little grapefruit pith on the persistent, chalky finish." 96 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

Mandala is the vision of the Smedley family of Melbourne. An estate vineyard in the Upper Yarra was planted with Burgundian clones in 1999 for premium pinot noir production. Specialising in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Mandala wines are high quality, elegant and exceptional value.
