Monte Bernardi Sangió Chianti Classico 2022

"From a biodynamic stalwart and vines planted in the fancy zone of Panzano. A kind of lo-fi winemaking vibe to this producer too, yet fine and elegant too.This has immediate appeal. Sleek and compact, a wave of fine, sinewy tannins keeping in dark cherry, stewed plum, cola, aniseed, dusty spice and dried herbs, truffle and kombu. It’s aromatic too. The flavour profile does have some grunt, and a pleasing sour-bitter character, but it works well in the flourish of dark fruits and more umami focused considerations.
