"Ben Riggs has had his winemaking base in McLaren Vale for decades, but when it comes to chardonnay, it’s to ‘The Hills’ that he heads. The Adelaide Hills is considerably cooler than McLaren Vale and is a haven for growing top class chardonnay. This is archetypal Adelaide Hills chardonnay, with a drive of white stone fruit, nutty, textured oak and pithy, crunchy acidity.
