Very deep purple-red colour with smoky char-oak and black fruit aromas, a very rich, full-bodied shiraz with lots of stiffing and a long carry, the tannins ample but more than compensated by the fruit richness. Upfront and inviting, the bouquet shows dark berry, vanilla, toasty oak and warm spice aromas on the nose, leading to a silky-smooth palate that's filled with succulent fruit flavours. It's beautifully rounded and flavoursome, making it highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2033. - 93 points

Sweet, simple, bold flavours of marshmallow, tar, dark chocolate and scorched plums. It delivers flavour and a good deal of it, and it does so in smooth/svelte style, with just a bit of grain. Solid.
