"Poached strawberry, mint and aniseed, peanuts and chocolate, a bit of cedar and baking spice oak. It’s medium-bodied, juicy red fruits, something of a porcini mushroom savoury character, fine grained tannin, fresh blackberry and spice, with an earthy and stony finish of good length. Slightly warm in alcohol, and a little minty on the finish, but a good wine all up. Quite polished, mind you." 92 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
“Serragrilli lies on a southeast exposition which enhances the freshness of the fruit and the quality of the tannins. This is focused on leafy lightness, dried cherry and cinnamon candy. Not ready to drink on the palate due to a firm acidic attack and austere yet velvety tannins, but there is great potential here; a powerful wine for ageing." 92 Points, Aldo Fiordelli, Decanter

Best friends Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom were the founders of the international artisan gelato business, Gelaterie GROM. In 2008 they bought land in Costigliole d’Asti, where initially, the property was almost entirely dedicated to the production of fruit, in particular, apricots, white figs, pears and peaches - but the boundaries of the property have been expanded over the years to a total of 30ha, 10 of which are planted with vines, and a further 4ha in the Barbaresco DOCG and 1ha in Barolo DOCG. As was their vision and philosophy with gelato, their venture in wine is about the finest raw ingredients, authenticity and the highest quality end product. Their focus is on their three cru wines of Barbaresco.
