Seresin Sun & Moon Pinot Noir 2017

"Fruit harvested from Osip clay slope on the Raupo vineyard. All destemmed, lovingly hand plunged, pressed to French oak barrels for up to 10 months in 25% new oak, blended and then returned to French oak puncheons for eight months. This is brimming with satsuma plums, rhubarb and red fig. Potters clay and star anise spice. Some creamy coffee syrup and lacy, fine tannins. There are also swirls of rose petal and dried strawberry that open with time in the glass. If you want to experience the magic that happens when pinot noir evolves with time in a bottle, this is it. Bright, savoury and of the earth." 95 Points, Shanteh Wale, Halliday Wine Companion

"Moderately intense pinot noir with cherry, violet, fresh herb and spicy oak flavours. Still quite fresh and lively but showing the benefit of bottle age with a mellow texture and subtle, savoury bottle development." 94 points, Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review Review

About this Producer

Cinematographer Michael Seresin’s desire to create high quality wine in the most natural way possible led to the rise of Seresin Estate in the early 1990s – a wine estate that has ever since followed the principles of biodynamic and organic farming and winemaking. Allowing the wines a little extra time, not only adds savouriness, mouth-watering textures and flavours, but also shows the unique sense of place the wines come from.
