Sons of Eden Remus Old Vine Shiraz 2021

"An old vine Eden Valley shiraz sourced across several sites from 50- to 80-year-old vines; 15% whole bunches, 18 months French oak (60% new). 2021 was a fine year, and that fact shines through in this wine. Detailed with just the right amount of structural sinew pure sage, amaro and spice-flecked red and dark berry fruits, showing space, vitality and poise across its length. A really impressive release." 95 Points,  Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion

"I did three unit ancient history for my final years at school, and I’m proud to say that my eldest son is carrying on this proud tradition by not only doing ancient history, but also modern history. A chip off the old block. Aside that, Central Eden Valley 80+ year-old vines | Central Eden Valley 60+ year-old vines| Flaxmans Valley 80+ year-old vines, with 60% new French oak.
Here’s a sweetly black fruited Shiraz of concentration and density. There’s sage and cocoa, mint/liquorice, sweet spices too, hazelnut, melting chocolaty tannin, balanced acidity, a little bit ferrous too, with a ripe, almost syrupy essence-like finish of excellent length. It’s a lot of wine, bold, and rich, but very good in that way." 94 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
