Zilzie Limited Edition Riesling 2020
Fermented in barrel, left on lees for 12 months with bâtonnage. A barrel-fermented riesling that explores the richness that lies within the grape when this method is used. Mid yellow in hue with lifted aromas of honeysuckle, white flowers, musk, citrus and orange peel. Richness and texture roll through the palate, delivering concentrated lime cordial, nougat and vanilla pod, all to the tune of zesty acidity.

Upmarket riesling label from Zilzie. Some time in barrel too.
Textural, interesting expression, very much led by the nougat and marzipan savouriness, with quite a lot of concentration and depth. Flavours are even more so, a bit toasty, this is a very savoury release and potent in its way. Strap in, it’s good.
