Matured 18 months in new and 2nd-use French barrels. A complex and fragrant expression of shiraz which is undoubtedly ripe but manages it particularly well. A thread of aromatic dark fruit and spice – plum, black cherry, licorice, earth, vanilla and baking spices – runs gently, with some elegance and power across the palate. Impressive.
